It’s All About Trust: A Preceptor’s Guide to EPAs in Experiential Education

Thursday, June 13, 2024

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST Live Webinar (recording available to those who register)

For the first time, the AACP Webinar platform is providing ACPE CE to non-member preceptors!

This webinar will introduce preceptors to Curricular Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities (COEPA) used to assess learners in the experiential setting.  Examples of pharmacy schools' utilization of entrustment scales will be provided, and attendees will be given an opportunity to actively apply the levels of entrustment scale to learner situations. MCW Assistant Dean of Experiential Education, Stacy Reid, is one of the panelists.

Participation in this webinar is limited to 1,000 attendees on the GoToWebinar Platform. Should attendance exceed the allotted number of participants, fill out the waitlist form. AACP will livestream the session via YouTube Live. Attendees will still be eligible to claim CE credit from the live version of this presentation.

If you cannot attend the live presentation, AACP will email instructions on claiming CE credit from the recorded version of the webinar.

Objectives:

  • Describe Curriculum Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities (COEPA) as they relate to experiential education.

  • Define the target levels of entrustment utilized to evaluate student performance on Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences.

  • Cite examples of how pharmacy schools have incorporated EPAs into learner evaluations.

  • Apply the levels of entrustment scale to example learner situations.
